Frequently asked
I know nothing about trading. Where do I start?
Start with Level 1 of the Trading School. It assumes no prior knowledge and is completely free. When you finish Level 5 you will be ready for the strategy videos.
Is the Trading School really free?
Yes. All 13 levels, quizzes, both certificates, the calculators and the glossary are free. A membership unlocks every strategy video and the Pro and Elite academy sections.
Which markets does TradeSchool cover?
The principles apply to stocks, ETFs, forex, commodities and crypto. The forex level covers pips, lots and leverage; the strategy videos use examples you can apply to any liquid market.
Will this make me money?
No course can promise that, and you should be wary of any that does. TradeSchool teaches a disciplined process: risk control, clear rules and practice. Most traders lose money, especially early on, so practise on a demo account first.
Is this financial advice?
No. TradeSchool is education only. Nothing on the site is a recommendation to buy or sell any security.

Why TradeSchool exists
Most people who try trading lose money, and it is rarely because they lack a secret indicator. They trade too big, without a plan, and without understanding the risks. TradeSchool was built to fix exactly that: a free school for the fundamentals, then a structured course of classic strategies, each with written rules you can test.
How the course works
The Trading School is written, free and self-paced. The strategy course is a series of narrated video lessons presented by Tom, our course instructor, on illustrative charts that build each setup candle by candle. Every lesson ends with the exact rules, the common mistakes and a short quiz.
What we will never do
- Promise profits or show "guaranteed" returns.
- Sell trade signals or tell you what to buy.
- Pressure you to deposit with a broker.

Expectancy = (Win% × Avg win) − (Loss% × Avg loss). Positive means the strategy makes money over many trades; it says nothing about the next one.

Pip = 0.0001 (0.01 for JPY pairs). Pip value = pip size × units, converted to US dollars.
Compound growth calculator
Hypothetical only. Real returns vary month to month and can be negative; consistent monthly returns are extremely rare.

What is the difference between Pro and Elite?
Pro unlocks every strategy and fundamentals video and every Pro section in the academy tabs. Elite adds the advanced sections: divergence, news trading and sector rotation, options and the Greeks, the professional mindset and an introduction to algorithmic trading.
Can I cancel or switch plans?
Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled any time, and you can upgrade from Pro to Elite whenever you like.
